Project overview

The aim of this project was to convert an existing basement area used for waste processing activities into new accommodation facilities for Cross Country Trains.

The existing concrete structure provided the shell to form the new superstructure of the accommodation facilities. Extensive works to alter reinforced concrete flooring and provide for a new drainage system were required followed by new structural steelwork frames and masonry walling.

Our specialist teams carried out the following services:

  • Civils, drainage, and groundworks
  • Masonry & partition walling
  • External windows and doors
  • Specialist tanking, cavity wall lining drainage system
  • Joinery & fit-out
  • Plastering and decoration
  • Specialist floor finishes
  • Sanitaryware, plumbing & water services
  • Lighting and emergency lighting
  • Electrical services including full station shut down and new incoming mains supplies
  • Mechanical services including air-conditioning and heat recovery ventilation systems
  • Comms, data, fire alarms, access, and security systems
  • External works including highways, fencing and landscaping
