Northern Rail entrusted us with the task of refurbishing 300 stations within a tight timeframe of 22 weeks. With our extensive experience in station refurbishments and a proven track record of delivering projects efficiently, we were well-positioned to tackle this ambitious undertaking.

The project aimed to enhance the overall infrastructure and aesthetics of the stations, ensuring a pleasant experience for passengers across the Northern Rail franchise.

Approach

Given the vast geographical spread of the stations, our teams faced the task of providing services simultaneously across the Northern Rail network. To address this, we deployed our highly experienced project management teams equipped with robust logistical strategies.

Our approach focused on implementing a seamless dilapidations programme, meticulously managing the refurbishment process across all stations. This involved de-vegetation, Car Park White Lining, Yellow Lining to Platforms, Mind the Gap/Step Stencilling, Stair Nosing, and General Works including tiling to toilets, painting, and plastering to ticket offices.

Close collaboration with Northern Rail stakeholders and effective communication channels facilitated smooth coordination between all parties involved, streamlining the project execution from start to finish.
