The Consortia Group is delighted to announce its accreditation as a Living Wage Employer, a milestone that underscores our commitment to fair compensation. This achievement ensures that every employee at The Consortia Group earns a wage that meets the real Living Wage standards.
In the North West, a striking 13.5% of jobs pay less than the real Living Wage. By becoming a Living Wage Employer, The Consortia Group proudly stands against this trend, advocating for a fair day’s pay for a hard day’s work.
The real Living Wage is the only rate calculated according to the costs of living, providing a voluntary benchmark for employers who wish to ensure their staff earn a wage they can live on, rather than just the government minimum.
“At The Consortia Group, we believe our employees are our greatest asset,”
said The Consortia Group MD Keith Roberts.
“Becoming a Living Wage Employer reflects our ongoing commitment to our team’s well-being. This accreditation formally acknowledges our long-standing practice of ensuring fair pay for all our employees and our dedication to being a responsible and ethical employer.”
Katherine Chapman, Director of the Living Wage Foundation, commented on this achievement, saying,
“We’re delighted that The Consortia Group has joined the movement of over 14,000 responsible employers across the UK who voluntarily commit to go further than the government minimum to make sure all their staff earn enough to live on. They join thousands of small businesses, as well as household names such as Burberry, Barclays, Liverpool Football Club, and many more. These businesses recognise that paying the real Living Wage is the mark of a responsible employer“
About the Living Wage
The real Living Wage is the only rate calculated according to what people need to make ends meet. It provides a voluntary benchmark for employers that choose to take a stand by ensuring their staff earn a wage that meets the costs and pressures they face in their everyday lives. These figures are calculated annually by the Resolution Foundation and overseen by the Living Wage Commission, based on the best available evidence on living standards in the UK.
