Colchester Station, a crucial hub in Essex connecting to London Liverpool Street and the Sunshine Coast Line, underwent a significant enhancement as part of the National Station Improvement Programme (NSIP). The primary objective was to refurbish and modernise station buildings, aiming to improve the overall environment for commuters and visitors alike.

The project, commissioned by National Express, had a value of £325k and spanned over 12 weeks.

The project commenced with a comprehensive assessment of the existing infrastructure and facilities at Colchester Station. Collaborating closely with National Express, our team formulated a detailed plan to address identified areas for improvement. Careful consideration was given to preserving the historic essence of the station, particularly during the restoration of Victorian features and the integration of bespoke joinery.

Throughout the 12-week duration, efficient project management ensured timely execution of tasks, with a focus on quality craftsmanship and compliance with relevant regulations, including Disability Discrimination Act requirements for accessibility.
