Honley High School – Glazed Walkway

We are proud to announce the successful completion of the glazed walkway replacement project at Honley High School in Kirklees. The works were carried out during the school’s six-week summer holiday closure, allowing for minimal disruption to students and staff.

Our project involved the demolition of existing roofs, the removal of top window sections, and the installation of timber stud work. Additionally, our skilled team insulated the new sections, rendered the external walls, and fitted new roofs. This comprehensive approach ensured that the walkways were not only structurally sound but also aesthetically pleasing.

Throughout the project, we maintained a top priority on health and safety. Our team kept open lines of communication, quickly addressing any issues that arose to keep the project on track.

Mike Mercer, Senior Project Manager (Lifecycle) at Imagile Professional Services, shared his satisfaction with our collaboration:

“It has been a pleasure to work with Consortia Integrated Services who undertake the replacement of glazed walkways to one of our listed schools in Kirklees. Throughout the project, Consortia’s attention to health and safety was visibly a top priority. Consortia were efficient and despite a tight schedule which had to see the project completed during the 6-week summer holiday school closure, finished on time and cleared the site prior to the new term starting. Minor problems were always rapidly sorted out before they obstructed progress or delayed anything. Consortia had efficient communications at all times and quickly followed up matters raised by the client team. The site team were at all times professional and courteous. This thorough and utterly professional approach was coupled with a real understanding of the needs of the school to meet deadlines throughout the project. Based on our experiences, I would have no hesitation whatsoever in recommending Consortia Integrated Services for similar projects.”

At The Consortia Group we are committed to delivering quality construction solutions while prioritising client satisfaction and safety. This project further solidifies our ability to meet the unique challenges posed by working in listed buildings.
