During Christmas 2018, one of our client’s at Northern Rail had a family member suffering from an illness on the Oncology Ward at Leeds Hospital. After having been asked by our client to help make a difference, the team at Consortia gathered toys together that would help bring a smile to the faces many sick children spending Christmas in the ward.
The gifts were handed out by members of the Leeds Rhinos Rugby Team, who enjoyed boosting Christmas spirits and chatting to many of their young fans.
Rhyse Martin, the team’s second row forward said “The kids after we spoke to them and gave them the present, they lit up a little bit, had a bit of a smile and that makes your day. If we can just make that little change for them and take their mind off what they’re going through, thats great”.
Consortia are proud to have been part of this annual donation and to have helped spread some festive cheer.
